Instant Video

If you're a cordcutter who watches movies and TV online you've probably heard about Amazon's Instant Video selection, with lots of stuff being free with Prime (to get a link to just the free Prime content, click here). While their selection hasn't held up to Netflix or Hulu if you get Prime just for video, lately Amazon has been working hard to improve their selection, as well as side benefits for Prime members. There's also have free trials for additional networks like Showtime, STARZ, SEESO and more, here's the link: Video Subscriptions Free Trial

At the end of September, Amazon added various benefits for Prime members on the video game streaming site Now you get a free subscription to one channel per month (usually $5 that goes to support the stream), and currently some free skins in Hearthstone, Streamline, and SMITE.

We're personally into watching Dungeons&Dragons every Thursday night on Geek and Sundry, poker with JCarverPoker, relaxing with some classical painting on Grigoriy Peppo and (and reruns of Bob Ross), or just see what's popular right now They're also adding more Prime benefits to like the new Stream+ system with gambling/polling S+ points.

Prime Reading

The newest addition to the Prime benefits list is Prime Reading. This is different than the older Kindle Lending Library where you would get one free book per month from a list of about 600,000, often promotional books like the first of a series to get you interested. Instead, there are many more books, including things like Harry Potter and the Lonely Planet travel guides, and you're not limited to one per month. Then of course there is Kindle Unlimited (30-Day Free Trial here) which doesn't require Prime, with unlimited reading of over a million books and access to many audiobooks as well. If you really like audiobooks, Amazon currently has a free 30 day trial of Audible where you Get Two Free Audiobooks.

Amazon Music

Another benefit that people often forget about is Amazon Music (30-day Free Trial here). The selection has been improving, and the quality is better than Pandora. Most people wouldn't subscribe just for the music selection, but if you like the free 2-day shipping, you might as well remember to check out the music section you have access to.

If you don't have Prime yet, try our Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial, or give the gift of Prime this holiday season:
