Another American…. treasure. If you haven’t seen Nick Cage tracking down the Declaration of Independence a la Dan Brown, you owe it to yourself.

While it might not make you feel too warm and fuzzy about the American banking system (especially since it’s based on a true story), if you haven’t seen this awesome movie, this summer is the perfect time.

Stan is a right-wing CIA agent keeping America safe in his own crazy way. Seth MacFarlane is in top form.

6. House of Cards (2013)

If you haven’t binge-watched Season 3 yet, this is the perfect weekend to do it! Everyone loves it, go see why.

7. Shooter (2007)

Another perfect summer action movie, Mark Wahlberg tries to stop an assassination attempt on the president, and is framed along the way. Will he find out what’s going on, or is the movie him sitting in a jail cell for 2 hours?

8. Black Hawk Down (2001)

A more war-like patriotic action flick, Black Hawk Down directed by Ridley Scott details the story of over 100 Army Rangers dropped into Somalia to capture two top lieutenants of a Somali warlord. Intense and riveting.

9. The Terminator (1984)
8.1/10 on IMDB
A classic action movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as a mean robot sent back in time to kill the unborn future leader of the human resistance.

10. IP Man (2008) / IP Man 2 (2010)
8.1/10 (IMDB) / 7.6/10 (IMDB) 
“A semi-biographical account of Yip Man, the successful martial arts master who taught the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun to the world.” – IMDB
Definitely worth a watch if you’re in the mood for some Kung Fu.

Watch the adrenaline-high spy action thriller to rule them all. And who can argue that the soundtrack isn’t the best?

This is actually better for your back than a standing desk, try it.

12. Django Unchained (2012)

It’s about time we get to some Tarantino (who won an Oscar for this film along with Christoph Waltz). We definitely give this Spaghetti Western about a former slave’s quest to free his wife more than an 8.5.

14. Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)
7.8/10 on IMDB
If sci-fi is your thing, check out the most recent addition to the Star Trek universe, following Chris Pine as he tries to track down a one-man weapon of mass destruction.

15. The Fifth Element (1997)
7.6/10 on IMDB
The fifth element isn’t Boron in this 1997 classic starring  Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich. Watch as a future cabbie and his fare get wrapped up in the hunt for the ultimate space-weapon.

Animated short films set in The Matrix show the backstory to the original mind-blowing masterpiece. If you haven’t seen them and like the Matrix, it’s time to catch up!
