A quick update about The Tudors

Update2: 7/23/2011: Season 2 is now in order. Seasons 1 and 2 are in a new order, and we’re currently working on the new order. Be careful when watching Seasons 1 and 2 until we get the new order posted.

Update: Seasons 1 and 2 have been updated as of just past midnight 7/20/2011. Please see the Season pages for the correct order.
Season 1
Season 2

Hi all,

The first and second seasons of The Tudors have been giving everyone a lot of trouble lately, not because we have any trouble figuring out the order, but because it has changed 3 days in a row. On 7/16 we updated the order that has presumably been changed before that, then it was reported to have changed on 7/17, yesterday, with even a new episode missing in Season 1 (#7).

It was just reported via anonymous comment that the order is wrong again today, 7/18. I will get to work finding the right order as soon as I can, but please bear in mind that Netflix is doing something behind the scenes here, and you need to be very careful watching episodes as it may be the wrong one and contain spoilers. Keep us posted in the comments for each season with any information you find out as to the right order.

  1. Anyone know if the order is currently correct? I'm trying to watch season 1 and have gotten to episode 3 but it seems to actually be wrong. Is it still missing? Are the rest in correct order I really don't want to spoil anything!

  2. So I just finished watching season 2 episode 2! Yay it looks like this episode is correct at least…finally

  3. So glad to find this blog….I thought I was going mad. This is so frustrating!!!! How difficult can it be to correct???? You would think this could be fixed in a matter of minutes.
I think I will wait until the problem is fixed to watch the rest of the series…If it ever is!!!!
Come on Netflix….get with the program!!

  4. I called that number- 1 866 716 0414 – and reported the problem verbally. The guy on the phone was really nice. I asked him if I could get a 'bonus disc' sent to me in lieu of the instant streaming being totally balls-to-the-walls screwed-up. He said 'sure' so, here comes Season 2 disc 1. (by the way DO NOT start watching season 2 episode 2 on instant streaming or you will get major spoilers in the 'previously on' before you can even hit 'stop').

  5. I was thinking about sticking with Netflix's streaming service after the price hikes in September. But since the Tudors is so messed up and out of freaking order and episodes are missing, it's not even worth the streaming fee. I'm canceling Netflix altogether cause I can get 3 DVD plans cheaper elsewhere. Netflix is supposedly not even considering buying Hulu, but because of this — MAYBE THEY SHOULD!!! >.<

  6. Well, the sound finally came only for the show to freeze and never resume several minutes in. I'm done with trying to watch this series. I'm moving on to something else. I'll maybe try coming back to this one in a year.

  7. After finally watching Ep 3 on watchthetudors.com, I went to watch Ep 4 tonight and it had no sound. Seriously? Why am I paying for this?

  8. season 1 ep 7 and 10 are the same…looks like netflix changed them again?? grrr I might as well just download the whole season and get it over with.

  9. Again thanks again for this blog! I also thought I was going crazy or that somehow tudors does timeskips between each episode lol. Well its good to find out thats not the case and I will have to go look on the net for episode 3 since I hate skipping episodes :(.

  10. This is all astounding to me. I have been in the software industry for many years, and this seems like a fairly simple requirement: serve these files in this order. It's especially astounding because Netflix is otherwise a good company.

  11. I so appreciate this blog! Stupid spoiler episodes! I had this same problem with The X-Files on netflix. Oh and also Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Oh and Angel. *sigh*

  12. you can watch missing episodes for free at watchthetudors.com keep in mind you can only was 72 minutes/24 hours.

  13. The episodes in season 2 are also messed up…what is going on with this show and the continuing problems…does anyone know which episodes are what in season 2, it looks like s2:e2 and e3 are wrong or repeated

  14. well, season1 eps 1 and 2 are right.. this show makes a lot more sense when watched in order. when i first tried to watch people kept coming back from the dead and stuff…

  15. Wow, had no idea so many others were trying to watch Tudors. Just went to watch season 1 episode 3 and it was clearly not the right episode. Looks like some of season 1 might be Season 2 episode 1 and season 2 episode 3, but I don't think they are season 1 episode 3. Hope netflix gets this straightened out.

  16. I just tried to watch season 1 ep 3 and was super confused. Hopefully Netflix will fix it or you'll figure out the correct eps for us 🙂

  17. I have just encountered this issue, 10 minutes into what I figured out was not actually episode three… blah. Already got spoiler'd.

Thanks for alerting us to changes!

  18. THANK YOU! We watched the beginning of episode 7 (really 10) which kind of ruined the season for us. But, at least we can stop now and watch the correct episode. Glad you shared your findings.

  19. In season 1, Episode 10 is actually Episode 7. Episode 7 is actually Episode 10. Episode 3 is actually 5 (duplicated episode as 5 is actually 5 as well).

Everything else in Season 1 seems to be streaming as the right episode.
Just now figured out that these were streaming out of order…..ugh! thought I was losing my mind! google helped me find this blog 🙂

  20. Thanks for starting this blog! I'm sad to see that the Tudor's Season 1, episode 3 is down. WHERE IS IT!?!?! *cries*
